ABC RN’s The Science Show: A deep dive into soil carbon

In 2018, agriculture generated 13.5 percent of Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Red meat producers have a target of zero emissions by 2030. The National Farmers’ Federation is working towards zero by 2050.

So how will this be achieved?

Alexandra de Blas examined soil carbon and the creatures that build it for ABC RN’s The Science Show.

She also explored Australia’s potential to draw down carbon from the air where it is a problem and store it in the soil where it is an asset for farmers.
